Precision increase client's revenue by £50,000 in just 10 weeks

Coalville based company SmarTrack, which has been running for just over three years, has a reputation for delivering high quality vehicle tracking systems on time and on budget. SmarTrack pride themselves on their efficiency, honesty and award-winning customer service and is unrivalled anywhere in the GPS Vehicle tracking industry.

Problem

Although SmarTrack were making sales, they were coming up against some stiff competition in the marketplace. The existing staff were doing a good job, however, there were some motivational issues because of the difficult market. SmarTrack’s past experiences of recruitment agencies had not been great.

Solution

Precision met with SmarTrack’s Managing Director at their premises and carried out a ‘Recruitment Needs Analysis’ of the company. From this Natalie at Precision identified that SmarTrack’s sales approach was re-active rather than pro-active. She therefore put some suggestions in place regarding how SmarTrack could utilise their large database of existing customers. They were very impressed with the suggestions and gave Natalie the go ahead to recruit for an experienced telesales individual who would be capable of selling to their existing database European cover and optional extras plus proactively selling renewals. The ideal candidate had to be able to be able to hit the ground running and have the skills and personality to fit into this family run business.

Results

Natalie identified 2 candidates that fitted the criteria. SmarTrack took on the first person they interviewed and within 10 days the telesales individual was appointed. The candidate was so successful at the job that within 10 weeks they had generated £50,000 for the business. Money which would not have been generated had the new position not been created. SmarTrack were over the moon regarding their new employee and their outstanding performance. From the extra revenue, they were able to negotiate a better deal with their suppliers and put plans in place to grow the company further.

Plans for the future

Due to the increase in business, SmarTrack have now taken on a new field sales person and an out of hours call handler. They also have plans to recruit more staff in the very near future as the business continues to flourish.

For all of the positions recruited for, SmarTrack have only ever interviewed one candidate and subsequently have taken each person on.......100% success rate.
