Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Salary: 28k + depending on experience
Sector: Electro - Mechanical Manufacturing

The Company:

Our client is a clean power systems company with globally scalable business.
With our proprietary fuel cell and hydrogen generation technology platforms, we have the building blocks to create bespoke power systems for OEMs and their global mass markets.

The Role:

Responsible for planning and managing the technical aspects of production programmes; incorporating the design, implementation and monitoring of the manufacturing processes. This will involve consultation with Research and Technology, Design, Quality and the Production Assembly Managers to achieve the most efficient and effective way of producing components and sub-systems to the highest quality. Although the role will predominantly focus on new product development, there will be an opportunity to apply lean manufacturing techniques to the existing low-volume production volumes to improve productivity and meet aggressive cost, quality and delivery targets.

The Person:

Key qualifications and experience:
- Producing manufacturing strategies for new products
- Proven record as a production technical lead on new or modified product designs
- Experienced in performing technical assessments on suppliers
- Preparing manufacturing documentation
- Proven record at improving existing operations, incorporating new methods and processes
- Educated to Degree level

Additional:
- Skilled in CAD/CAM
- Application of lean manufacturing techniques
- Experience in a electro- mechanical manufacturing environment
