Job Title: Customer Service Team Leader (Building/Construction)
Salary: £22,000 plus parking + benefits
Location: Nuneaton, Rugby, Hinckley, Lutterworth, Coventry, Daventry, Warwick, Northampton

The Company:


A worldwide building solutions company and a leading supplier of ready-mixed, cement, concrete and aggregates. They also provide roof tiles, asphalt, concrete block solutions and railway sleepers. They generate in excess of £2 billion in sales annually and have a supply network with multiple locations ensuring that quality building materials are available to their customers locally.


The Role:


Leading a Regional Team tasked with consistently providing the efficient taking of orders, effective handling of all enquiries and issues, issuing quotes, handling complaints, and building relationships with customers. Primarily tasked with providing seamless communications internally and externally, with particular focus on reaching optimum Customer Service levels and KPIs. The successful candidate will use their own initiative to manage the interface with Customer Service Agents and Transport Co-ordinators in all regions. Other key responsibilities include working closely with external sales with regard to customer service and delivery issues. It will be critical to build positive relationships with internal / external customers and external 3rd party hauliers, as well as proactively resolving customer issues/complaints or changes, keeping them fully informed in a professional and honest manner. You will develop a strong understanding of the product portfolio and offerings throughout the regions, sharing best practice with other colleagues continuously improving departmental performance.You will ensure achievement of Customer Service and Logistics KPI's, providing required reports to Sales Office Manager as well as providing regular and constructive feedback to each team member regarding their individual performance against target, setting a behavioural example to increase productivity and a positive team environment. Additionally you will manage and report sickness and holidays, perform team appraisals, and monitor training and development with Sales Office Manager. You will take responsibility for the induction of new starters in the team, ensuring they understand relevant policies, procedures and codes of conduct.


The Person:


As an experienced customer service team leader, you should possess skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and Lotus Notes. You should also have strong organisational skills, interpersonal and communication skills. Two years Management/Team Leader experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have Team Leader experience leading a similar type of team in a sales office/call centre, in a high call volume, fast paced environment. This is still a relatively new office and team - there are inevitable teething problems which the successful candidate should be confident in coping with.
