Role: Production Manager (Engineering)

Salary: £30,000 plus benefits

Location: Leicester

The Company:

Established now for nearly 60 years, my Client specialise in the design, development and manufacture of precision sheet metal components and fabricated assemblies. Due to continued success and developments within the company, they are now inviting applications for the role of Production Manager, to continue the growth of the business. My Client's success can be attributed to having a productive workforce and continually increasing their order book.

The Role:

Primarily you will be overseeing the production process including drawing up a production schedule. You will schedule contracts with Blue Chip Companies & spot orders. You will be ensure that the production is cost effective whist making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality. You will work out the human and material resources needed for jobs. You will be required to monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed, whilst liaising among different department e.g suppliers, manager. You will work with other managers to implement the Company's policies and goals. You will ensure that health & Safety guidelines are followed at all times. You will need to indentify training needs and reviewing the performance of subordinates

About You:

You will have a good understanding and a sound working knowledge of production processes, particularly within the Sheet Metal and Fabrication sector. Previous experience with management of staff is key, details of successful process / project / production implementation would be advantageous although not essential. You must be able to communicate and converse with existing / developing and new clients of all levels from production staff to senior directors. You must also have MRPI/11 system knowledge. Jobshop system knowledge would be advantageous.
