Job Title: Senior Design Engineer
Salary: £30 - 40K plus benefits
Sector: Aerospace
Location: Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Northampton, Coventry.

The Company:

Our client is a world market leader in the development and manufacture of advanced machine tool systems. In addition to providing machine tool turnkey solutions for the Aerospace Industry.

The Role:

- Design of Precision Tooling assemblies and systems, including production of detail drawings, BOM's and assembly drawings
• Liaison with suppliers (internal and external) to ensure components are cost-effectively manufactured to meet design requirements
• Manufacturing support, working concurrently with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure Design for Manufacture
• Responsibility for all tooling facets of a project from initial concepts through to production/completion

The Person:

- The successful candidate will have previously worked within a mechanical design / tool design role preferably within a precision/machine tool industry
• Experience of using 3D CAD software, preferably NX and Autocad Inventor (training would be provided for the right candidate)
• CAM experience
• Understanding of machine tool design & construction
• A self motivated individual you will have the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary project team, which oversees projects from start to finish.
• Good practical knowledge of manufacturing methods
• The ability to negotiate, influence, and communicate effectively, with customers, vendors, and internal personnel at all levels
• Be able to carry out supporting calculations relating to designs
• PC literate, particularly using MS Office
• Able to deal effectively with ambiguity and multiple problems whilst working under pressure.
