Job Title: Customer Service Account Manager (Building Supplies)
Salary: £17,000

The Company:


A worldwide building solutions company and a leading supplier of ready-mixed, cement, concrete and aggregates. They also provide roof tiles, asphalt, concrete block solutions and railway sleepers. They generate in excess of £2 billion in sales annually and have a supply network with multiple locations ensuring that quality building materials are available to their customers locally.


The Role:


Primarily you will be required to be the first point of customer contact within the company, providing the highest possible level of customer service through numerous different channels. You will work closely with colleagues in other departments to ensure that orders are dealt with in accordance to the current customer service priorities and guidelines. When taking orders you must ensure all customer orders are taken accurately and that you process them into the necessary IT system in a timely manner ensuring that the customer service requirements are agreed and met. You will conduct all daily checks following the current Customer Service Procedures to prevent mistakes happening and ensure customer service requirements are met. You will develop a proactive and honest relationship with all internal and external customers, supporting the sales team in order to enhance customer loyalty and support regarding our products and service. You will liaise closely with other relevant functions via constant communication and understanding of all parties elements ensuring that the customer receives high service quality. You will also liaise closely with other relevant functions to maintain customer focus and exchange key commercial intelligence so that key commercial communications and a decision can be reached. You will be required to make answering of telephone calls professional, honest and polite keeping to factual information ensuring all key parties are informed and we convey a customer orientated environment, you will ensure call KPI's are met. You will deal with all customer enquiries politely and professionally whilst passing onto more knowledgeable/specialist colleagues once the enquiry has gone beyond the remit of the customer services representative, however ownership of the call and enquiry to be retained even if the transfer to a third party has taken place.


The Person:


As an experienced customer service provider, you should possess skills in, MS Word, MS Excel, or Lotus Notes. You should also have strong organisational skills, interpersonal and communication skills. Industry experience would be an advantage, as is previous experience of working in a customer service and a high volume telephone environment.
