Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: £25 - 35k + Benefits including free parking and Bupa

The Company:

Our client is a leading supplier of air pollution control and process gas treatment equipment worldwide.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Technical Director. Duties include assisting in the design and development of mechanical components and systems by producing general arrangement and fabrication drawings using CAD applications, performing engineering calculations, acting as a liaison with the fabrication process, interpreting technical specifications, assembling reports and manuals, interacting with clients, and inspecting equipment.

The Person:

Key qualifications and experience:
• Mechanical Engineering experience
• Experience with Auto Desk AutoCad or Inventor
• Previous responsibility for multiple design projects in a technical environment
• Design experience of pressure vessels or other mechanical equipment
• Detailed understanding of design systems and processes

Key behaviours:
• Technical problem-solving skills and techniques
• Strong organisational skills
• Work independently as well as in a small team environment

Additional:
• Good IT skills
• Availability for European/International travel
